ALX Beyond is governed by two committees.
The Executive Committee is responsible for the evolution, growth, strategic development, financial stability, and sustainability of ALX Beyond. Members of this committee are local champions and ambassadors supporting the organizational development of ALX Beyond.
The Provider Advisory Committee is comprised of K-12 expanded learning, afterschool, and summer learning providers who represent nonprofit organizations, city agencies, schools, businesses, and faith-based organizations serving children and youth in the City of Alexandria. To maintain ALX Beyond's collective impact approach, the Provider Advisory Committee is responsible for programmatic decisions and meets quarterly.
All representatives and organizations support a systems-level, coalition-based approach for expanded learning and out-of-school time programs in the City of Alexandria.
